Rumours of a new iPhone SE 4 have been swirling for some time. Industry analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo, along with various reports, have time and again talked about the device. Now, 91Mobiles has obtained purported CAD renders of the device, offering a glimpse into its possible design. iPhone SE 4 is expected to replace the current iPhone SE 3, featuring the A15 chip but potentially sporting a more modern appearance.
According to the report, Apple is set to introduce a significant shift in design for the first time in the series, with the introduction of a 6.1-inch display—akin to those seen in the iPhone 13 and 14 models. This would mark a substantial increase from the iPhone SE 3’s 4.7-inch IPS display featuring a home button.
Furthermore, the renders indicate that the device might get a notch with Face ID, reminiscent of the design seen in the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14. On the rear, for camera optics, a single-camera setup is expected, aligning with Apple’s approach in previous SE models.
In terms of overall size and dimensions, the renders suggest the device will measure 147.7 x 71.5 x 7.7mm, similar to the dimensions of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14. Notably, this information aligns with what MacRumors reported in 2023, as highlighted by 91Mobiles.
While the specific launch date remains unclear, several reports hint at a potential release in 2025. However, 91Mobiles suggests the device could make an appearance later this year, possibly alongside the rest of the iPhone 16 lineup.
